Description: Project includes complete redesign of an existing high-rise building emergency power system into a hybrid emergency and healthcare essential system power distribution system.  The new systems allows for separate power service for healthcare tenants.  Design includes complete cost analysis comparing new generator and reconfiguring the existing building emergency distribution system.  The final design solution reconfigures the existing emergency distribution system by way of modifying existing distribution equipment and extending feeders to new properly separated switchgear.  All existing emergency elements were reconnected with new essential system power distribution elements added to the distribution lineup that in turn connected to vertical buss risers routed up the building core for future tenants to plug into.
